Weaving With Slippery Yarns

Question: I have a question about weaving with slippery yarns such as silk. I have had problems with the ends popping out after my usual manner of weaving them in before changing colours. Do you have any suggestions for weaving silk scarves with several colour changes in the weft?

I always alternate my sides when I’m changing bobbins and I tuck my tails in the same shed about 1″ in. I don’t cut my tails off until after the fabric is washed. Another trick is tucking the tail to your first colour change if it is within a reasonable distance from the selvedge. You don’t see the doubled end so much that way.
