Drawing in as I weave
Question: I am weaving a wool lap shawl and I noticed that the right side is tighter than the left side. Can I adjust my reed somehow? Or is that the problem?
The tightness of one side can be caused by many things but usually has nothing to do with the reed. You could be drawing in on that side more than the other or you could have had more tension on one side of the warp when you wound one. Try beating on an open shed and increasing the angle of your weft before you beat.
