Cloth Beam on Hollandia

Question: Should the Hollandia loom have a cloth front beam or just a rod?


The Hollandia should have a wooden flat rod (really a sturdy piece of polished wood) and it has a texsolv cord apron. Here are two pictures of what mine looks like:
