Advancing Spring 2 Brake

Question: A question about advancing the warp on my new Spring II …. do I release the brake and advance at the same time?

Yes….scoot to the right side of your loom and lift the brake handle with your right hand. I often use my left hand to roll the cloth beam but you can reach down with your left hand and use the advancing handle. Sometimes I use my left hand on the cloth beam to make the big move and then fine-tune the floating breast beam with the advancing handle. It becomes 2nd nature after a couple of advances. And – I don’t get off my bench to do any of this 🙂
