Tie-ups on Sinking Shed Versus Rising Shed Looms

I am presently doing a boundweave project and having trouble with the tieup.  My loom is a jack loom (Artisat) and I am presently using standard tieup but when talking about sinking sheds, they should go down, mine don't, they just stay in place.  When I press 1-2 - they go up but the rest don't move at all, is this considered a rising shed?  Should this be threaded instead of standard,  ie 1&2 should it be 3&4 and so on?

You have a rising shed loom.  Really your pattern will still work perfectly, it will just be slightly shifted.

If you want to reverse it to work like a counter-balance, you just have to re-work the tie-up.  But I wouldn't bother .... your cloth will be exactly the way it should be on the bottom with the reverse on the top ........ that is the slight shift.

On a CB loom 1&2 tie-up makes 1&2 go down and 3&4 go up

So on a rising shed loom you just tie-up 3&4 which leaves 1&2 down

On a CB loom 2&3 tie-up makes 2&3 go down and 1&4 go up

So on a rising shed loom you just tie-up 1&4 which leaves 2&3 down

On a CB loom 3&4 tie-up makes 3&4 go down and 1&2 go up

So on a rising shed loom you just tie-up 1&2 which leaves 3&4 down

On a CB loom 1&4 tie-up makes 1&4 go down and 2&3 go up

So on a rising shed loom you just tie-up 2&3 which leaves 1&4 down
